Who issues business permits
The Provincial Government of Bukidnon does not issue business permits for stores, offices or other establishments. Permits (often called the Mayor's Permit) are issued by the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) of the city or municipality where the business is located: Malaybalay City, Valencia City, or one of the 20 municipalities. Requirements, fees and deadlines vary, so confirm with that office. Find your city or municipality
Getting a New Business Permit
The usual order of steps. Your city or municipality may combine some of them in a Business One-Stop Shop.
| Step | What to Do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Register the business | Register the business name (sole proprietorship), the corporation or partnership, or the cooperative. | DTI, SEC, or CDA |
| 2 Get a barangay business clearance | Apply for a clearance from the barangay where the business will operate. | Barangay hall |
| 3 Apply for the business permit | Submit the application form and requirements. The office assesses your fees and local business taxes. | City or municipal BPLO |
| 4 Pay fees and taxes | Pay the assessed fees and local business taxes and keep the official receipt. | City or municipal treasurer's office |
| 5 Complete clearances and inspections | Depending on the business, this can include a fire safety inspection, a sanitary permit, a zoning or locational clearance, and building or occupancy permits. | BFP and the city or municipal offices concerned |
