About the Department

The province's disaster risk reduction office

Republic Act 10121, the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, requires every province, city and municipality to have a local disaster risk reduction and management office and council. In Bukidnon, the provincial office is the PDRRMD. The provincial council is chaired by the Governor.

Under the law, local DRRM offices assess hazards and risks, run early warning and public information, train and organize emergency response teams and volunteers, and coordinate the local response when a disaster strikes.

What to do and who to call

1

Call 911

For any life-threatening emergency, call the National Emergency Hotline.

2

Contact your local DRRM office

Your barangay and your city or municipal DRRM office are usually the first responders in your area. Report disaster-related incidents to the PDRRMD at (088) 813-1262.

3

Follow official advisories

Follow weather and earthquake advisories from PAGASA and PHIVOLCS, and instructions from your local officials, including evacuation orders.

4

Know your evacuation center

Ask your barangay where your evacuation center is and how to get there before you need it.
