Who handles marriage records

Marriage licenses and marriage registration are handled by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of each city and municipality: Malaybalay City, Valencia City, or one of the 20 municipalities of Bukidnon. The Provincial Government does not issue marriage licenses or marriage certificates. Requirements and fees vary by city and municipality, so confirm with the office before you go. Two Ways to Get a Copy

Choose the office copy or the PSA copy, depending on what the requesting agency needs

From the City or Municipal Civil Registrar

  1. Go to the civil registrar of the city or municipality where the marriage was registered (where the wedding took place).
  2. Fill out the request form: names of both spouses and the date and place of the marriage.
  3. Present a valid ID. A representative also brings an authorization letter and the spouse's ID.
  4. Pay the fee set by the LGU and claim the certified copy.

From the PSA

  1. Order online through PSA Serbilis for delivery, or visit a PSA Civil Registry System outlet.
  2. Give the full names of both spouses and the date and place of the marriage.
  3. Present a valid ID if you go in person, and pay the PSA fee.
  4. Receive the copy printed on PSA security paper. The PSA also issues the Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR).
